4S-S Traditional balalaika 4 strings, Balalaiker Balalaiker 4S – the special series of signature balalaika with reduplicated first string. This kind of balalaika appeared in Russia in the XVIII century and remained extremely popular for three centuries. The last models of 4-string balalaika disappeared from the factory price lists in the mid-1960s and again restored at The balalaika Manufactory after a 50-year break. The body of the seven sections is made by historical technology. The fingerboard treated in a special way, making it especially resistant to dirt and friction. The elongated 450mm scale adds convenience to the playing. Warm and pleasant to the touch, brass frets enrich the sound with a special velvet tone. The soundboard is made of resonance spruce with excellent acoustic characteristics. The bridge is designed using the sample from the middle of the 20th century. Body: 7 sections, beech, maple, size – prima. Scale: 450mm. Top: resonance spruce. Binding: cherry tree. Neck: beech. Fingerboard: maple. Frets: 16, brass. Bridge: beech.
